Products meet new Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Standards
Columbia, MD - July 17, 2006 - GTCO CalComp announces that its Interwrite SchoolBoard and Interwrite SchoolPad products are available in RoHS (Restrictions of Hazardous Substances) compliant versions. RoHS is recognized as the new global environmental standard for electronics. Effective, July 1, 2006, RoHS regulations govern the amount of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers contained within electronic products in the EU. Similar environmental requirements will take effect in California in January 2007. The Interwrite SchoolBoard and Interwrite SchoolPad join previously announced Interwrite PRS RF, an award-winning student response system, in Interwrite's family of green products.
